Ohio | In high school I worked for my neighbor on his dairy farm. He would always pick on me and tell me that every morning the sheep would get together in the barn and get to decide who was the lucky one to die that day. There were times when that seemed like the truth. We used to have Suffolks for breeding shows and crossed some with Hampshires. I remember lambing season being like the OP described and I don't miss that part of it at all. | |
