| I don't think you have to buy physical grain to hedge. We are not going to run out so the bushels will be there. I'm just saying we/they are not waiting around to lock in prices by whatever system works best. When you see a corn pile disappearing, you could assume demand is taking off like wild fire with higher prices to come, but the truth is more likely that it was all sold long before and is just now being delivered.
That said, today's run up almost reminds me of the past 5 years - who is buying? | |
