I graduated high school in 1980 and landed a job working for an aerial applicator for the summer months, I was laid off after a month because everything was burning up and he didn't have any work, back then it was mostly wheat and barley and flax and some sunflowers up here, the only crop worth harvesting that year had been fallow the year before.
