I do remember 1983 as being a very wet spring around here which did contribute to a smaller crop. I do remember having a lot of my set aside acres consisting of a lot of these wet areas. Have since then had all those low areas tiled, best investment I ever did for those areas, still paying dividends especially wet years.
I don't have any data or remember what the 1980 crop was your inquiring about around here.
