Subject: RE: Mother Hubbards cupboard sure was bare........

East Central South Dakota
Don't get to caught up on just one commodity. Look at total grain shipped as we proved last year people can be creative in their feed stuffs. 119,000.000 bushels of grain ! ! ! Now take into account that we have been doing this total grain volume for a couple of months. Now take into account we did it under less than ideal weather conditions nation wide. Now take into account the number doesn't include DDG's. Some problems in world politics already disrupting grain traffic, more to come? ? ?

1. We can't continue this bean pace and imports are going to have to happen. IMHO

2. Will corn volume increase once SA gets the bean ships ? ? Some greater than 50,000,000 bushel weeks ? ?

3. With world wheat supply can't believe we are even selling wheat. Maybe world supply numbers not perfect??

One thing that---will and did ---set me off is when people on here said USA is not a reliable supplier. South Africa at one time was going to take our corn exports away with cheap labor and land. The cheap labor ended up with the land and that competition went away. South America is going to bury us with cheap labor and land. Will the cheap labor end up with the land there too? ? Never say never in todays world.
