NW Ohio | So what? 1. It looks to me that farmers were waiting until the first of the year to make sales that they didn't want in 2013. (farmers did fill all of their bins you know with that record crop.) 2. There were farmers that the bears and market advisers have finally scared enough to sell some corn. 3. If farmers sold near the end of the day on Friday, they didn't sell on the low. 4. Rewarding the market with a few sales on an up day is a good thing. 5. The more corn that is sold now, is less corn in farmers' bins. I have been told that less corn in farmers' hands is a good thing. 6. It appears to be a win/win. Farmers got a little more for their corn than they thought......end users got more supply ( at a huge discount to last year) 7. Those on the other side of the "USDA prediction numbers can't be correct", finally took one for the team.......and they probably only have to wait for a short time before the next report goes the other way. Human nature my friends.......human nature. | |
