What we want and what we get are sometimes two different things..


I'm not holding corn because I want to see $7.00 corn.. I'm holding corn (although I priced some on the close Friday at +.53 on earlier delivered contracts) because we COULD see $7.00 corn..

and for me NO 2014 crop!!!  (bummer..)  

Unlike 2012  I've shot my water wad.. We're done now coasting to 2016 crop before our water allocations reset.. I spent my water the previous 3 years to get to this point...  In the words of the Apollo 11 Crew after they fired their last remaining fuel for that LAST course correction..

"Out of my hands now.  We just put Sir Isaac Newton in the drivers Seat."

Like Apollo 11.. the corn in my bin is the LM.. The BLOWN Ship is the DROUGHT.. We're COASTING HOME on a wing and a prayer with IRRIGATED FIELDS TURNED OFF now Boys... it's either Sorghum.. or wheat (if it comes up..) or TUMBLEWEEDS!!!
