This is the thermometer everyone should own. Hard wired and then wirelessly transmits the heat to a hand held device. It's what I use for smoking meat and it is what I would use if doing a prime rib in the oven. It's within 1 degree of boiling water temp, so it's very, very accurate. I can have my smoker going outside, one probe reading smoker temp, the other reading IT (internal temp) of the meat, while sitting on my couch. The key to cooking good meat is a good thermometer, I wouldn't trade it for anything.
