I put my PFAdvantage in the tractor wired with the implement switch on the planter. You just name the "loads" the different hybrids and varieties. In the fall I print off the maps and carry them in the combine with me. I made a bracket to have the planter monitor and yield monitor on top of each other that attach in the lower right corner of the cab out of the line of sight. If you want to do it cheaper you don't need the implement switch but you have to remember to hit the area on/off button which is why I went with the implement switch in year two. Not familiar with any of the handheld devices out there but that is probably a cheaper/more versatile option than the yield monitor solution unless you have it already.

It was especially handy when spraying for GLS last year because I just took the maps to the aerial applicator and had the different hybrids that I wanted sprayed. Also then you can overlay the maps in your mapping program.
