Subject: Re: investors buying land

It is human nature to chase what looks great at the time. If stocks are doing well and land is starting to falter, then investors will stop buying land. Interest rates also play big into land prices. I would guess much of the land held by investors will be sold by the time land bottoms. That might happen in about 10-12 years and at 50%-60% of the peak land price. Of course the smart investors will be buying land near the low when no one else wants it. My guesstamates are based on what happened in the 70's and 80's. I don't believe that much land was purchased by investors based on what I have read on the topic, but there may be pockets where investors have purchesed more heavily, but not where I am.
