east central ND | After slowing down a bit this summer, I see a lot of land in the local regional adds coming up for sale. I think quite a bit of it is going to try and capture the high prices before the current and projected crop prices attempt to pull land values down in the next few years. Will the "investors" keep buying and supporting the current prices? Or will they step away and wait until the farmers run out of cash to buy land with? At what point do investors sell the land they bought the last few years and chase higher returns in stock? Or is land just a better return than bonds for the next few years and they will stay pat?
Edit: I thought I put this in the market forum, maybe the moderator can move it.
