Subject: packing tractor-wheels vs tracks

East Central IL
We have always used wheel tractors for packing silage in the bunkers. Still using the MFWD8400 with blade to push up piles but traded the 4wd for a quad track. That is what really does the packing. Started chopping Thursday and the quad seems to be doing a good job. Guess we will see just how good a job it did next summer when the piles are cleaned up. Anyone else use tracks for packing? What are your experiences? Will try to get some pics tomorrow.
