Central Iowa | That p***-poor attitude is gonna get you real far in life...
I'm not a farm hand but I work on salary in agriculture and I work from a home office. I don't have any set hours. Part of being salary in a job like this is flexibility (which is one of the best things about my job). Some weeks I'll work around 30 hours, and the next 60-70. It waxes and wanes, but it all evens out in the end. The main thing is making sure you get your work done, the hours don't matter.
If your employers made the statement "that's the kind of guy we want," and proceeded to hire you, they must think pretty highly of you. Don't disappoint them with attitudes and behaviors like "I feel like taking short cuts all the time instead of taking my time and doing them properly." Take some pride in your work.
