| When I worked for the Deere dealer, I ripped them off before delivery of the tractor or combine, I know some guys did not like it at first, but most would say later they was glad it was off. My boss ( the owner, always wanted them off too )
We both always thought if you spend that much for a piece of equipment, ENJOY IT ! I have not seen one yet effect the resale of equipment either, if its that bad, replace the cushions !
What I do is go to Meijers or WalMart and get some black, brown, or gray bath towels, then I have my Mom ( she's a seamstress ) sew these towels into customized seat covers, She puts on some elastic bands to keep them in place and makes a "pouch" that slips over the backs of the seat...not really super fancy, but they look GOOD, work GREAT and are easy to take off and throw in the washer when dirty.
