| Like crowbar mentioned, the clump planting method has been getting a lot of testing from the KSU research center in Tribune, KS for a couple of years now. It is an intersting concept and seems to actually do pretty well, especially with milo. They even have plates designed to drop 3 seeds in a clump. I heard them explain at the experiment station why they thought it was doing better, but I can't remember why now. But I thought it was just in dry areas that they thought it would really help. We are talking 14-18 inch rainfall areas. And I am sure Lucas would know a lot more about it.
