Downtown Shell Knob MO Come Visit!
doubles increase micro population which decreases cob size. if you have a double right beside a skip and the soil is warm enough that they both come up within the same half day, they the cob/ear size will probably be the same. The problem is when you have a double and you don't have a skip on either side then you just put 4 seeds in the same 20-30 inchs that three seeds should be placed. so you just made your micro population go from 33k to 44k , and everyone knows how big the cobs and ears are on 44k corn.
