Pleasant Hills, NSW Australia
Block up every second wheat row ie. double your row spacing, helps the alfalfa survive. Last year I got my nieghbour in with his 1590 box drill on 7.5" spacings to sow mine and we alternated the lucerne/wheat rows - wheat down the front discs and lucerne down the back, ideal depth for both seeds - this will help out a lot if you get a short spring.
