South Africa | We usually seed the wheat ahead and then come back with a spreader and light harrows+rollers to put in the alfalfa. Before, when we used drills, we would put the alfalfa in the fine seeds box (I'm not sure if this is the same as your grass seed box). They would get dropped behind the seeding discs and just be covered by the light harrows pulled behind the drill. Works well here. We seed alfalfa on 20% of our cropland every year. | |
