Subject: RE: Net wrap on a hay processor

mr.agco - 12/3/2012 08:59 After going thru the Haybuster, I cant imagine that that small of a piece could get stuck in the reticulum. Maybe I will have to start dissecting cow patties to see how much actually passes thru.

Before dissecting the pie I'd take a look at the Haybuster to determine how much net actually makes it out with the hay.   If it works anything like a beater in a poop spreader I can't imagine much makes it to the ground.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone cut net wrap or twine off of a bale before dumping it into a tub grinder either.

Unless you have cattle dying of unknown causes I wouldn't worry about it.
