Subject: RE: Net wrap on a hay processor

Driftless SW Wisconsin

If you are having to take time to use a pocket knife/torch/hot knife to cut netwrap off of anything rotating inside a processor or mixer, why not use the pocket knife and take the netwrap off the bales BEFORE they go in the processor?

I put out a couple bales yesterday and it took me under a minute per bale to get off the tractor, make a cut along one side of a 5x6 bale on my loader or 3-point forks and remove the netwrap completely, wind it up on my arm and tuck it into my tractor rock box.

Especially in this warmer weather so far. It's not like the netwrap is frozen to the bale in a blizzard...
