Mid Michigan | We do but we're not big farmers. Everything is old but paid for and it works or we fix it. When we buy seed, fertilizer, spray, fuel etc it all gets paid for with cash. Dinner, movies, christmas presents, clothes, groceries, building supplies, vehicle insurance and registrations all paid with cash. If I buy a new lawnmower, quad, snowmobile or trailer, always pay for it with cash. I didn't used to do it and never gave it much thought until it just hit me one day If I couldn't afford it I didn't really need it. Then I started listening to Dave Ramsey and some of the obvious money saving tips really started to sink in. It's just common sense. Some people can leverage themselves to the hilt an it works very well for them and doesn't bother them a bit. I'm wired differently and I would rather have security and play it safe with paying cash than go out on a limb and borrow money even if it could be used to make my life a bit easier. | |
