alot of truth in this statement,used to raise a few oats,and boy did the oldtimers have alot say about raising oats,such as,can't seed oats on plowed or fall worked corn ground,another,oats will be better if they get snowed on,shouldn't apply manure to ground that was going into oats,bull---t.finally told my dad that i question if the old timers actually knew how to raise oats,he just laughed.
