We had been growing 103 but this year are going to use 718 (? I think that's what it was). The 103 didn't lodge when we used it for silage. We grew it for seed a couple of years and it sure lodged bad then. It also made a lot of really nice straw though, 1,333 3x4 bales off 180 acres without swathing.
