What variety are you planting? I have been using 815 the last couple years. 102 and 103 lodge too much. There is a replacement for 103 that I am going to try this year also--not supposed to lodge as much.

Triticale will work well as long as you can get it harvested. Soybeans would be a great crop to follow since it can take the delayed planting date much better than corn.
