Herfy a solid color cow is simply done by concentrating pigment genes ( red or black pigment on their face and udder ). Breed goggle eyed/or pigmented cow to pigmented bull=offspring w Twice as much pigment concentration as comped to either parent. Breed said offspring to other of same ( 2x pigment concentrate = 4x pigment concentrate offspring, etc.,etc.. Learned this off a long time herfy outfit at quinter ks that also raises black herefords.
