IMO, with equal quality genetics the British breed baldy cow has the edge over her straight black, red, or wf British counterpart if you breed her to a third Continental breed.

Char, Limo, Gelb, Simm sires on a baldy cow all make good crosses and maximize heterosis. Breeding back to one of the original breeds or going out further than the 3 breed cross, not so much. Do that and your losing hybrid vigor, uniformity, or both.
