The corn isn't being cracked in the rotor, it happens before that with their FAST beater. There is an optional edible bean wear strip package that replaces the wear strips with a gentler design piece, but I don't know if there are adverse effects to running these in other crops. There is also a slow-down kit for the FAST beater for better grain quality. That helps a little also. Keep the round bar concaves in for corn; they are the best for grain quality but struggle to do other crops well. An axial flow with the old standard rotor will do a nicer job, but if you go to a specialty or AFX rotor, you'll get more cracked corn with them. Some of the best corn samples I've ever seen have come out of certain conventional combines or the Lexions.
