Subject: RE: Crop Insurance and Monsanto

The 'good farming practices' has always been up for discussion and there will never be definitive answer. Who can say that a drought resistant crop won't be suseptible to a disease? Never had an issue with SDS until RR soybeans became the norm. I'm all for saving money but I don't think we can micro-manage production as well as some would have us think.
My own APH will reflect my capabilities far more than a new trait will. That new trait will be rapidly incorporated into each producers database. If the new technology is so superior then reduce the database to 5 years.
Perhaps this is part of Monsanto's plan to reduce the refuge percentage?
