Why do you think it's better to look it up in an outdated book then to look it up on the parts system?    Frankly that doesn't make much sense. Most of the time it isnt ,but on some of the parts I have got over the years on the older equipment there have been notes wrote in the books about changes and superceeding numbers or also different  pictures or descriptions that are not on the computer. I dont see this much on newer stuff but older hay equipment and tillage equipment I see it often. those seem to be the machinery parts I have the most trouble with in getting the right parts for.
