Thompson ND / Grand Forks ND | The air systems have changed on these planters through the years. That compressor is ideally mounted in the cab to keep it in clean air. It's also a fairly low duty cycle compressor. Later, they came with a frame mounted compressor that's on the CAN bus network so you can adjust it from the display. I believe it was a higher duty cycle compressor. They had problems with that compressor ingesting dirt and burning it up. That's why they came with the in cab air filter hose kit. The air lines have also increased in capacity along with an on board air storage tank for faster adjustments.
In short, I'd mount it in the cab and you don't need a tank in the system for your needs. |
