We have one on a 1770NT. Previous owner had it on the cab floor, we didn't need anymore "accessories" in the cab. According to our salesman, the reason for the cab mount is because the compressor cant handle the dirt of the outside. I suppose it would be convenient to increase and decrease pressure from the seat, but you can do the increase side with just putting a switch in the cab. We mounted it above the hydraulic hose organizer clamps. In order to mitigate the dust issue, we removed Deere's sorry excuse little fart of a filter, put on a simple brass pipe adapter, and put a real round 3" or 4" plastic filter housing from an air compressor. Probably less than $20 in the whole deal.
