I also wean about 6-8 weeks and I have it setup pretty good this year. The ewes are going to my dad's yard (about 2.5 miles away) and the lambs will be in the old hog house. The lambs have had access to creep feed since they were 5 days old. Then for me it does not seem as bad. Its my bottle lambs that I hate weaning because they whine every time they see you.
