I also raise the meat birds, I did 600 last year plus 55 turkeys. No, it is not huge money but I also don't belong to a gym, so it is my excersise program. I live in west michigan wich is not real metropolitan. I think there is a market for what you want to do. You need to not be afraid to charge a lot more than the grocery store, but you need to be able to differentiate your product from the grocery store product. A Cadillac Escalade and a Chevy Tahoe are the same basic vehicle, yet there are a lot of people who pay significantly more because of the differences it does give them. A pig is a pig until you sell the difference between what you have and the grocery store.
