Saronville NE | Ive got a neighbor who is a definate number cruncher, they still raise all the hogs on dirt and farrw in a old barn, where you still pitch straw out. He told me in Jan, that using $6 corn last year for a oppurtunity cost, he still lost money. This guy can tell you within a 1/2 cent of his total costs and I would beleive him. He has absolutely no overhead, and didnt make money, how on earth are you going to make money with buildings? IDK, I havent had hogs since 90 or 91 for a FFA project, and you couldnt get me to go back, I dont miss em. | |
