More cows may need calcium since that will stop muscle contraction completely and is easily reversable. On the other hand it's nice to deal with a cow that just lays there and isn't struggling and running around beating the prolapse up on her hocks and dragging it through the weeds so the arteries rupture internally.
A prolapse isn't one you want to haul in to the vet. They need to stay in a small pen or be left laying down if at all possible. | |
