Waupun, Wi | No scale at packing house to get live weight. It was a in the meat contract. Wish i had live weight to use. Graded 65% choice 35% select. Hard fed steins, no yg 4's or 5's. Have heard of similiar complaints second hand of others with same issue. Normally always yield 59 to 60% on these cattle. If my guess weight was accurate (almost always within 10 lbs)these yielded 53% percent. Could they have trimmed an excessive 85 lbs of fat off? Have roughly another 600 head contracted.
