New Mexico | What was the dressing percentage? in the 61 to 64% range generally.
What was the lives weigh?
What was the hanging carcass weight?
How did they grade? choices, primes, selects etc.
Yield grades? how many yg 1's, 2's, 3's, 4's??
Your contract???? if it's a live price contract well then you got the live price.
If there's an open top in the beef ( premiums pd after your live pay...then Grade and Yields makes a diff )
If your deal is contracted "in the beef" then Grade and Yield matters a bunch.
Most packers are hot trimming to 1/8" cover and there are "in the beef" deals that supposedly reflect that ( some do, some perhaps do not ).
Depends on your area too:
Some are all cash live.
Some are top cash live w open top premiums ( in the beef premiums of formula premiums ) pd after the fact.
Some areas pay is all in the beef.
