I meant to say earlier, the duetz engines are oil cooled. Not air cooled. (although air movement is still a requirement in most engine cooling. LOL)
Never felt right changing the motor oil in the duetz. Impossible to drain all the oil out and I was always leaving dirty oil in the system in oil cooled engine.
Ours doesn't run the coolest in the summer. Especially if it gets ran wide open for extended periods of time. I've had it up to 260 degrees before which is on the verge of overheating. Yes air movement is still required haha |
