Take a look at Deere's new D Series. A 326D would have 2600# lift capacity, they also have 328D with 2800# and 332D. If you are getting a tree shear, you definitely want a cab. Also if you've never ran a skid steer before, look into EH / ISO hand controls. Much easier to operate than the old style controls if you've not ran one before, but it is a little extra. I don't know what size trees your looking to cut, but take a look at Sidney Tree shears or Marshall tree saw attachments.
