Bow Island, Alberta | Is rural mail delivery standard across the US?
As far as I know, we have never had rural mail delivery in Alberta (maybe it's different in the east, where the wise men are). Everyone has always had to drive to the nearest town to pick up mail in a box at a post office. Some rural areas now have a group of boxes somewhere outside of town that people can drive to (maybe this is only in areas that have a high rural population).
Local mail is sorted on Saturday morning, but no mail arrives by truck.
