It is interesting to note that the 30's had a heavier axle shaft and planetaries. Maybe the 20 was stretched to capacity. Having said that, I've been around many turned up 20s that have pulled hard, and have never, ever seen rear end trouble with any of them. PTOs and pinholing were the two biggest problems with those.
