Southeastern Kansas | You brought up the comment about your tractor sinking in the mud if it rains. I had a 7720 do almost the same thing, the bearing on the outer final drive went out and broke the casting. The wheel fell against the machine. The ground was muddy and soft . Cement contractor in town commented to get 2- 3/4" sheets of plywood and lay it on the ground first then build up your blocks and jack from there. Worked great, never even dimpled the muddy ground. Whenever I see these combines with the big round bin extensions, I wonder just how long it will be befor those final drives give fits. | |
