Subject: Re: How people find land to rent

Holly Island, AR
I know things are different in different part of the country. But if somebody did that here, as far as radio adds and such, they would come off as deparate, of course I'm talking about around here. The advice given to me by my Grandfather about 15 years ago when I was in college was, "do the best with what you got, and people will take notice". It's worked for me so far. Around here, you don't try to outbid people for land, it's just the way it is around here, "so far". Once a farm is rented, if you do a good job, 90 percent of the time you've got that farm for a fairly long time. My dad has a couple farms he's rented for 40 years.
