West Central Iowa | I don't know how many total acres you are breaking up, but in my area a handful of HEL acres in the corner of a parcel could make the entire parcel HEL. It depends on the percentages though. In theory, that could limit our tillage practices on the whole parcel because a few of the acres are HEL. The only way to make sure the FSA/NRCS would allow you to treat them separately and remove the HEL designation from the rest of the parcel would be to create different fields with the 6 acres of HEL by itself. | |
