We've been numerous times. I've snorkeled with the turtles twice at Akumal. Had dinner at lol ha right there on the beach. We went twice this year and can't wait to go back. Yes we do stay at resorts but always spend time away from the resort. We really enjoy the area. Just use common sense. We've never had problems in our 10 trips.
Going to Mexico for vacation is there anything I need to know before going?
