If you're going with a wife/girlfriend, bring jewelry with you in your carry-on. When we were in Jamaica, the locals stole the cheap stuff my wife bought down there out of her suitcase during security check. Not a huge deal, cause it was the cheap junk, but nevertheless, plenty of theiving beaners to go around.
