people are continuing to grow and with the higher rent their is less profit per acre hence you need more acres to make more money. however someone willingly paying more then a 100 dollars an acre more then everyone else is just being an arrogant prick.



So if someone figures out a new crop, or tillage program, or lack of tillage program, or fert or whatever that allows them to generate more revenue than the neighbors, they shouldn't be able to market that by new skill by farming more ground?

Please. That is ridiculous. Lot of guys pay more than $100 an acre (more like $200) cash rent above us hay growers around here. They are growing different crops. Big deal. Rather than calling them names, sometimes we will just trade or rent ground to them. Certainly is more productive.
