| I believe in most area's, we respect each other but it is a business. There will always be the "hatfield-mccoy" family grudges between two neighbors, etc. Margins are tighter, and somewhere there is always a guy being pushed. We've all gained or lost ground, its a risk of farming and we all knew it when we decided to make this our careers.
A lot of the expansion now in our area is bringing in the younger generation into farming. The younger group (sub 30-35) needs a little helping hand to get into farming, and around here it seems the majority of the expansions are to allow multiple generations farm together. | |
