S.E. Nebr. | We are in the process of adding a 22x26 room on east side of house. Plus putting in red oak flooring, new carpet, tile in bathrooms. Completely tore out main bathroom upstairs and downstairs. The guy we hired to do most of the work has been terrific. Built the house 30 years ago can't remember making so many decisions back then. Started project first of August. Should be done by Christmas. Have to move out tonight as floor finishers coming tomorrow. Also tore out front walkway and doing landscaping around the house back to new addition.
Only advice I can give is make sure you think things through. Take an extra day if you have to and go see some homes that have been redone if close by. We went and looked at three homes that also added on a additon. Plus my daughters were very helpful looking up things on the internet. The people at the Lumberyard along with all who have worked on our house have been great.
Use a little humor when making decisions. Will be helpful on your marriage.
