SW Indiana | There is a computer program from Better Homes and Gardens called "Interior Designer". Basically it's a really easy to use cad program. It was invaluable to me, as I'm not very good at visualizing things in my head. I used the program to first draw the actual layout of my house (100+ year old farm house) then was able to move walls or take them out, decorate, paint etc. then go inside the room in 3D view. It was really fun, and pretty darn easy. It was also really great for the contractor as he was able to "see" what I was wanting. I'm still amazed when I pull up that file, as the kitchen and new bathroom look in real life just like they do in that cad program, right down to the cabinets and colors.
And NO I am no computer whiz. I think that program cost about 50 bucks. Best money I spent on that project. Have fun! | |
